Yesterday morning, vivo officially announced that it will hold the vivo & Samsung dual-mode 5G AI chip media communication conference in Beijing on November 7. The vivo X30 equipped with Samsung’s 5G chip Exynos 980 may make its debut at this conference. This news also confirms the rumor that vivo and Samsung are jointly developing 5G chips.
It is reported that the chip integrates 5G baseband and supports NSA and SA dual-mode 5G. It is the first dual-mode 5G chip to be commercialized outside the Huawei series.
The chip consists of two latest Cortex A77 CPUs (clocked at 2.2GHz) + four high-performance Cortex A55 (clocked at 1.8GHz) cores, the GPU is Mali-G76 MP5, and supports LPDDR4X and UFS 2.1.
According to official data, the Samsung Exynos 980 processor can reach 2.55Gbps at the fastest 5G network in the Sub 6GHz band, 1Gbps at 4G, and 3.55Gbps in dual-mode parallelism. In the Wi-Fi environment, it can support the latest Wi-Fi -Fi 6 standard.
According to reports, the vivo X30 equipped with this chip will use a 6.5-inch true full screen with a screen refresh rate of 90Hz and a 32-megapixel lift-type front camera. In addition, the phone will also be equipped with a four-camera module on the back, with specifications of 64 million pixels + 8 million pixels + 13 million pixels + 2 million pixels.
